Madonna world tour kicks off in UK

Pop superstar Madonna has announced she will be kicking off her world tour in the UK.

The 49-year-old singer is to play at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on August 23. She will also play at Wembley Stadium on September 11 after concerts in Nice, Berlin, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Rome and Frankfurt as part of her Sticky and Sweet tour.

Tickets will go on sale for Madonna's two UK gigs on May 16 and will start at £55 for Cardiff and £65 for Wembley. The best seats for Cardiff will cost £150 and for Wembley £160.

The recent inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will also be playing in Maidstone this weekend as part of Radio 1's One Big Weekend free festival.

Wow, that's expensive. I hope there will be tickets with a decent view for less money...

I have heard so many rumors of ticket prices i just do not know what to believe....well these prices you mention is far the cheapest I have heard of because I heard for balcony seats close to $700 so who is to tell what is correct, noone will know for sure until they put them on sale...lets just hope that tickets are this low even though yes this is expensive but $700 plus dollars is a rip off

if i am not mistaking, there were tickets for 50 or 60 Euros for germany (confessions tour).
55 Pounds are 69 Euros, 65 Pounds are 82 Euros which would be OK because the price since the last tour will not have changed much.
now 700 I DO NOT THINK SO, who would go there for that price? very very few people....

yes I know it would be a bare stadium lol I sure hope you are right abbie because I am so panicking about the prices........................
